General Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 22, 2026
These general terms and conditions apply to drone footage and to identification labels from Dronas. I keep them as short and easy to read as possible. Please read them before you accept an offer or place an order. By doing so you accept them.
Part A: General
1. Scope
These terms apply to all contracts with Dronas for drone footage (Part B) and for identification labels ordered through dronas.ch (Part C). Parts A and D apply to both. The terms apply to consumers and business customers alike.
Deviating terms of the customer only apply if I have agreed to them in writing. Anything expressly agreed otherwise in an offer for drone footage takes precedence over these terms.
2. Contracting party and written form
Your contracting party is: Dronas, Joshua Schmidt, Chüeweidweg 4, 8143 Stallikon, Switzerland, contact@dronas.ch. Dronas is a sole proprietorship. Wherever these terms say "I", they mean Dronas.
In these terms, "in writing" also includes email and messages on your order page on dronas.ch.
Part B: Drone footage
3. Price calculator, request and offer
The price calculator on dronas.ch shows a non-binding estimate. It is not an offer. A request through the price calculator or the request form is free of charge and commits you to nothing.
In response to your request you receive an offer from me with the scope of work, the price and, if already known, the date. The offer is valid for 30 days unless it states otherwise.
The contract is concluded when you accept the offer in writing. Changes and additions to the job only apply if we agree on them in writing.
4. Scope of work
What I deliver is set out in the offer, for example the location and flight time, the number of photos, the length of the film, editing, colour grading, music, raw footage, travel and overnight stays.
I create the footage according to your instructions and to the best of my professional ability. Unless agreed otherwise, I choose framing, perspective and editing myself within the scope of the offer.
I cannot guarantee a specific result where it depends on circumstances beyond my control, such as light, weather, season or conditions imposed by the authorities.
5. Your cooperation
You make sure that:
- the location is stated correctly and is accessible at the agreed time;
- the owner of the property I take off from or film agrees, if you are not the owner yourself;
- people on your premises or at your event are informed about the drone footage where necessary;
- I receive all the information I need for permits in good time.
If one of these requirements is missing and the job is delayed as a result, I am not responsible for the delay. I may invoice any additional costs this causes, for example for a second trip.
6. Air law and permits
I fly in accordance with the applicable rules of the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) and with a registered drone. Before the flight I check the airspace and geozones and apply for the necessary permits. Their costs are listed in the offer.
If a permit is refused or only granted with conditions, we adapt the job together or postpone it. If neither is possible, either side may withdraw from the contract. Permit fees already paid are then borne by you; no further costs arise for you.
On site, I alone decide whether a flight is safe and permitted. I may decline or stop a flight if people, animals or property would be endangered, if regulations would be breached, or if the situation on site differs from what was stated.
7. Weather and rescheduling
Drone flights depend on the weather. If a flight is not possible or not sensible because of wind, rain, poor visibility or restrictions imposed by the authorities, we move the date. This is free of charge for both sides.
I let you know as early as possible, usually the day before, and in case of sudden weather changes at the latest before I set off.
If we cannot find a suitable date within 60 days of the original date, either side may withdraw from the contract. Permit fees already paid are borne by you; no further costs arise for you.
8. Cancellation by you
You can cancel an agreed date. What counts is the time your written cancellation reaches me:
- up to 7 days before the date: free of charge;
- less than 7 days before the date: 50% of the agreed price;
- on the day itself, or if I cannot fly on site because a requirement under section 5 is missing: 100% of the agreed price.
Permit fees already paid are charged in every case. Rescheduling because of weather or the authorities under sections 6 and 7 does not count as a cancellation.
9. Prices and payment
The prices in the offer apply. All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF). Dronas is not subject to VAT, so no VAT is charged or shown.
Travel, overnight stays and permit fees are charged where they are listed in the offer.
You receive the invoice after delivery. It is payable within 30 days without deduction.
If you do not pay on time, you receive a payment reminder. Once the payment period has expired, I may charge default interest of 5% per year (Art. 104 of the Swiss Code of Obligations).
10. Delivery
I deliver the photos and videos digitally, through a download link on your order page or by email.
Delivery takes place within 10 working days of the flight. Faster delivery (express) is possible by arrangement.
Download links are time-limited. Please save the files when you receive them and keep your own backup. I keep the material for 12 months after delivery and may delete it after that.
11. Corrections and complaints
For edited material, such as a cut film, one round of corrections is included. Send me all your change requests together and in writing within 10 days of delivery. I charge further rounds of corrections by time spent unless we agree otherwise.
Please check the delivery when you receive it. Report defects to me in writing within 10 days of delivery. Report defects that you could not detect during this check as soon as you discover them.
If a defect is justified, I rework the material. If that is not possible or does not succeed, I repeat the shoot or you receive an appropriate price reduction.
The light and weather conditions on the day of the shoot and creative decisions within the scope of the offer are not defects.
12. Usage rights
Upon full payment you receive a non-exclusive right to use the delivered photos and videos, unlimited in time, territory and content. In particular, you may publish, reproduce, edit and use the material for advertising, and pass this right on to third parties, for example an agency or the buyers of a property. Until full payment, you may only use the material for viewing.
I retain the copyright. Crediting me as the author is not required.
I may use the footage for my own promotion, in particular in the gallery on dronas.ch, in advertisements and on social media. If you object in writing, I will not use the material for new publications. You can also state this when you accept the offer.
You only receive raw footage if it is included in the offer.
13. Personal rights and privacy
Unless agreed otherwise, I make sure that people are not recognisable in the footage.
If people on your premises or at your event are to be shown recognisably, you obtain the necessary consent.
You are responsible for using the material lawfully, in particular with regard to the privacy of neighbours and the rights of third parties.
14. Liability for drone footage
I have taken out drone liability insurance for damage to people or property caused during a flight.
I am liable without limitation for damage that I cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for personal injury. Otherwise my liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
In particular, I am not liable for indirect or consequential damage such as lost profit, nor for delays caused by the weather, the authorities or missing cooperation under section 5.
Part C: Identification labels
15. What I sell
I print adhesive labels according to the design you create in the online designer (text, material, size and layout). Every label is produced individually for you.
The preview in the designer shows the layout of your label. Colours, the look of the material and the dimensions of the printed label can deviate slightly from what you see on screen, because screens differ and production has small tolerances. Such deviations are not defects.
How long a label lasts depends on how and where it is used (weather, sunlight, abrasion, cleaning agents, the surface it is applied to). I therefore do not promise a specific service life. Please check from time to time that your label is still attached and legible.
16. Order and conclusion of the contract
The presentation of the label on my website is not a binding offer but an invitation to place an order.
Before you order, you see a summary of your label and can correct it. You then enter your address and payment details on the payment page and accept these terms there. By completing the payment you place a binding order.
The contract is concluded when I confirm your order by email. This normally happens automatically right after payment.
I may decline or cancel an order, in particular if the label contains unlawful, offensive or misleading content, if it contains the secret part of an operator number (section 17), or if the chosen material is not available. In that case I refund the full amount you paid.
17. The content of your label
You are responsible for the content of your label. I print exactly what you submit and do not check it for spelling, completeness or correctness. This applies in particular to your UAS operator number.
Do not print the security code (the secret characters at the end of your operator number) on the label. It must not be visible on the drone. I reject orders that contain it.
You confirm that the text you submit does not infringe any third-party rights (for example to names or trademarks). If third parties assert claims against me because of your content, you indemnify me against them.
18. Prices and payment
The prices shown on the website at the time of your order apply. All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF). Dronas is not subject to VAT, so no VAT is charged or shown.
Shipping costs are added to the price of the label. They depend on the shipping method you choose and are shown on the product page and again on the payment page before you pay.
Payment is made in advance through the payment provider Stripe, using the payment methods offered on the payment page. Production only starts once payment has been received.
Promotion codes can only be redeemed during checkout. They cannot be paid out in cash or applied retroactively.
19. Delivery
I deliver to addresses in Switzerland only.
Labels are sent by Swiss Post as a letter (A Mail or B Mail, depending on your choice) without tracking.
I normally produce and post labels within a few working days of payment. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. If I have not posted your order 30 days after payment, you may cancel it and I refund the full amount.
You are responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address. If a letter is returned or lost because of an incorrect address, I only send it again against payment of the shipping costs.
If your label has not arrived 14 days after your order even though the address was correct, please contact me at contact@dronas.ch. I will then print and send it again once, free of charge.
20. Cancellation and returns
Swiss law does not provide a right of withdrawal for online purchases. Because every label is made to your specifications, I do not offer a voluntary right of return either.
You can cancel your order free of charge as long as I have not started production. To do so, write to contact@dronas.ch with your order number as quickly as possible. Once production has started, the order can no longer be cancelled, changed or refunded.
Your rights in the event of a defective or incorrect delivery (section 21) remain unaffected.
21. Defects and warranty
Please check your label when it arrives. If it is defective, for example misprinted, damaged or different from what you ordered, tell me as soon as possible at contact@dronas.ch, including your order number and a photo.
In the event of a defect I first print and send the label again at my expense. If a replacement is not possible or is defective as well, you can demand a refund of the purchase price including shipping costs.
In all other respects the statutory warranty provisions apply (Art. 197 et seq. of the Swiss Code of Obligations). Warranty claims become time-barred two years after delivery.
The following are not defects: errors in the content you submitted, the minor deviations described in section 15, normal wear, and damage caused by improper application, use or removal.
22. Drone regulations
My labels are an aid for displaying your operator number on your drone. As the operator, you remain responsible for complying with the applicable rules on registration and marking. This includes in particular using the correct number, attaching the label legibly to every drone and replacing it if it becomes illegible or your number changes.
I do not provide legal advice and do not warrant that a label ordered from me is sufficient on its own to fulfil your legal obligations. Information on the current requirements is available from the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA, bazl.admin.ch).
23. Liability for labels
I am liable without limitation for damage that I cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for personal injury, and wherever the law imposes mandatory liability, for example under the Product Liability Act.
In all other cases my liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. This applies in particular to indirect and consequential damage such as lost profit, fines, or costs in connection with a lost or incorrectly marked drone.
Part D: Final provisions
24. Data protection
How I process your personal data is described in my privacy policy at dronas.ch/legal/privacy.
25. Final provisions
The version of these terms in force when you accept the offer or place your order applies. I may change the terms for future contracts at any time.
These terms are available in German, English, French and Italian. If the versions differ, the German version prevails.
If a provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
Swiss law applies exclusively, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
For consumers, the place of jurisdiction is governed by the mandatory statutory provisions: for your claims, the court at the domicile or registered office of either party has jurisdiction; for my claims, the court at your domicile. For all other customers, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is the place of business of Dronas.
